Today’s world has developed lots of convenient and beneficial tools to ease the daily life thanks to the technology. When we say technology one of the first things that comes to mind is world wide web. Cyber realm supplies such an endless advantage spectrum that on can have difficulty to choose the best on for him. Technology harbors lots of extra tools which can be used for language teaching. Our job, as future language teachers, to choose the most effective one for a language class. A language class can benefit from such tools which supply an oral interaction, written and even visual materials. PolyCom and Tandberg are two programs which supply video conferencing. MSN Messenger and Windows Messenger also make it possible to share video and audio clips. In order to audio and visual things these two enable to writing interactively and share written documents. Moreover Yahoo Messenger and AOL instant messenger have nearly the same job but with some limitations. These kinds of tools can be used for students to work cooperatively with the native speakers of the language and the people who are also learning the language.
Although technology gathers us closer and closer, there are some key points that we should take care while communicating people who are the members of other cultures. We can see the possible problems in the example of four students. These students are the members of the forum site of a French newspaper, while two of them can’t find the help they need because of the inappropriate behaviors towards the native speakers of target language, other two can achieve their aims and use the forum for their own sake.
